Here we provide attendees with essential information, addressing common queries, and ensuring a seamless and informed experience.

What time should I arrive?

Friday

  • Entry: 7:00 PM

Saturday

  • VIP Entry: 5:00 PM
  • General Admission: 6:00 PM

Sunday

  • VIP Entry: 2:00 PM
  • General Admission: 3:00 PM

Arriving early is encouraged so you can enjoy the full experience.

What events take place during the festival?

The weekend includes several culinary experiences:

Friday Night Dinner (March 20)
An intimate, multi-course chef dinner to kick off the festival weekend.

Saturday Grand Tasting (March 21)
An evening walk-around tasting featuring 25+ local and regional chefs, wine, beer, spirits, cooking demonstrations, and live music.

Sunday Grand Tasting (March 22)
A relaxed afternoon tasting experience with chefs, beverages, demos, and music to close the festival weekend.

What is included with my ticket?

Your Grand Tasting ticket includes access to:

  • Tastings from 25+ chefs
  • Samples from wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverage partners
  • Chef demonstrations on the demo stage
  • Live music from DJ Java and entertainment

VIP tickets include early entry and access to the VIP area with additional tastings, a dedicated bar, and restrooms inside MMA.

Is the festival 21+?

Yes. All events are strictly 21+, and a valid ID is required for entry.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. You may present your mobile ticket from SquadUp at entry. Tickets can also be added to your smartphone wallet.

What is the Bag Policy?

Bags 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or smaller are allowed.

All bags will be checked at entry, and non-clear bags may be subject to additional screening.

Where should I park?

For Friday Feast, parking is available at the Mississippi Children’s Museum.

For the Grand Tastings, several parking options are available downtown. The recommended lot is:

City Centre Parking Garage – $10 CASH ONLY
Pascagoula Street

Additional street parking and nearby lots are also available.

What items are prohibited?

The following items are not allowed:

  • Weapons
  • Outside food or beverages
  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses
  • Large bags or backpacks

Is re-entry allowed?

Yes. Guests may exit and re-enter the festival. You must keep your wristband on to gain re-entry. 

Can tickets be purchased at the event?

If tickets are still available, they may be purchased at the event. To ensure you have a ticket, it is best to purchase tickets online in advance through the JXN Food & Wine website.

Where is the festival located?

Friday Feast takes place at the Mississippi Children’s Museum, 2145 Museum Blvd, Jackson, MS 39202.

The Grand Tastings take place in the Gardens and surrounding festival grounds at the Mississippi Museum of Art and Lamar Street in downtown Jackson. Address is 380 S Lamar St, Jackson, MS 39201. See the map here.

What should I wear?

For the Grand Tastings, this is an outdoor garden event, so we recommend:

  • Comfortable shoes

  • Weather-appropriate attire

  • Layers for the evening

Think stylish but comfortable.

Will there be seating at Grand Tastings?

This is primarily a walk-around tasting experience, where guests move throughout the grounds sampling food and beverages. Limited lounge seating and gathering areas will be available.

What happens if it rains?

The festival is rain or shine. If weather conditions require adjustments, the team will implement contingency plans to ensure the experience continues safely.

Who benefits from the festival?

A portion of proceeds supports the Mississippi Restaurant Association Education Foundation, which provides scholarships and education opportunities for future hospitality professionals.

Code of Conduct

JXN Food & Wine Festival is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests, chefs, partners, volunteers, and staff.

By attending the festival, guests agree to:

  • Treat all attendees, staff, chefs, and partners with respect and courtesy
  • Drink responsibly
  • Follow all instructions from festival staff and security
  • Respect event property, equipment, and the surrounding venue

The following behavior will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior
  • Excessive intoxication or unsafe conduct
  • Failure to follow staff or security instructions

Festival organizers reserve the right to remove any guest from the event without refund if these guidelines are not followed.
